Marilena Preda Sânc are un sistem propriu de cercetare a abstracţiei vizuale. În apărarea unui modernism unde natura furnizează substanţa externă şi idea contextul, MPS demonstrează că arta abstractă, în special cea geometrică, rămîne radicală. Demonstraţia are un fel de diversiune logică: sînt lucrarile bune pentru ca sînt radicale ori sînt radicale pentru ca sînt bune.
MPS lucrează cu un repertoriu de forme elementare şi cu un set de reguli activate în cîmpul vizual. Desenele au o libertate controlată. Minimalismul este supus unei metodologii aditive. Elementele sînt dificil de izolat. Sînt calităţiile care izolează o linie de poezie de o linie de proză. Doar emoţia / ca stare de spirit / explică cît de interesant poate fi un triunghi, o sfera, un pătrat…Domeniul creativ ramîne memoria asemenea unui depozit de imagini.
Rigoarea spartană şi regulile geometrice sînt favorabile unei imagini netede. Culorile stralucitoare se transformă în alb opac şi emoţia devine rece, expusă vîntului. O abstracţie devastată de iarnă. Imaginea clară este produsă prin trecerea substantei naturii în natura memoriei.
Desenul devine obiect fizic. Culorile aduc intimitate şi sînt de tipul: umbra rece, argintiu evaziv, roz-cenuşiu cald…Undeva în apropiere MPS introduce un element al timpului. Un pariu luxos cu experimentul.

Sebastian Moldovan lucrează cu lumina şi spaţiul adevărat. Cu structuri rupte de sistemul de artă. Practică un modernism personal, sincer, neimplicat. Imaginea este însa mereu scoasă din context. Are note excentrice şi principii consistente.
Ceva subiectiv şi anonim decide asupra mecanismelor vizuale şi adaugă o seducţie necesară.
Subiectele folosite sînt locuri şi obiecte făcute de om: construcţii, case, camere, uşi, grădini. Elementele spaţiale au o monumentalitate liniştită dar induc uneori presiune şi izolare.
Sebastian Moldovan are o enigmatică legatură cu gradina şi casa. Dar la fel de misterios, plantele şi obiectele lui primesc inevitabil referinţele unei tehnologii acute. O zonă liminală între material şi optic.
Există mereu o linie subţire între materialitatea densă şi un imaginar translucid.
O parte clară şi cîteva metafore.

Marilena Preda Sanc has created a unique research system of visual abstraction. In defense of a modernism where nature provides the exterior substance and the idea generates the context, MPS demonstrates that abstract art, especially geometric art, remains cutting edge. The demonstration has somewhat of a logical diversion: are the works good because they are groundbreaking or are they groundbreaking because they are good. MPS works with a repertoire of elementary forms and with a set of rules activated in the field of vision. The drawings have a controlled liberty. The minimalism operates under an additive methodology. The elements are difficult to isolate. These are the same qualities that isolate a line of poetry from a line of prose. It is only emotion / as a state of the mind / that explains how interesting a triangle, a sphere, or a square can be. Creativity remains in the memory like a repository of images.
The Spartan rigor and the geometric rules favor smooth images. Bright colors transform in opaque white and emotion becomes cold, exposed to the wind. An abstraction devastated by winter. The clear image is produced by the passing of the substance of nature in the nature of memory.

Sebastian Moldovan works with light and definite space, with broken structures of the art system. He practices a personal, sincere and uninvolved modernism. The image is always out of context. He has eccentric notes and consistent principles.
Something subjective and anonymous influences his visual mechanisms. It adds a necessary seduction.
The topics he covers are places and objects made by man: constructions, houses, rooms, doors, gardens.
The spatial elements have a monumental peacefulness but sometimes they induce pressure and isolation.
Sebastian Moldovan has an enigmatic connection with the house and the garden; just as mysterious, his plants and objects receive the inevitable references of acute technologies. A liminal zone between the material and the optical. There is always a fine line between dense materiality and a translucent imagination.
One clear side and some metaphors.
